Love Poems
Married Man's Story
I married you for better,
As you emphasised, for worse,
But the day that I see better,
I'll surely be in a Hurst.
If we had a single cent,
For your every single word,
We would be billionaires,
With the nagging, I have heard.
You say I have not spoken,
For many years, gone by,
But I don't like to interrupt you,
I truly say, with a sigh.
Sarcasm, is just one more free service,
Offered by a wife!
With enough hot air to scorch,
Any married man, in his sorry life.
I surly married my Miss Right,
Oh yes I certainly did,
But your first name was "Always",
That's a fact you surely hid.
As a Wife you certainly came
With lots of instructions,
There are enough there to surely drive me
Right to destruction.
You say that if I have something
To say, I should raise my hand,
Place it over my mouth,
And know then clearly where I do stand!
I think that if we were to try sleeping,
In separate single beds,
It might make out hearts grow fonder,
And much closer instead.
Your Bed could be in the London,
And Mine across in Perth!
The miles between us,
Would bring joy, and real mirth.
Over the years I have took you,
Surely everywhere, with me,
But you always keep finding,
Your damn way back to me you see!
Marriage with you,
Is surly like a pack of Playing cards,
And also a game of chance,
And a gamble surely hard.
For man needed, indeed.
A heart, to win over his Wife,
Then he needed to be a joker,
To make her smile, in life.
He also needed,
A very large diamond to marry her.
And several aces in his hand,
To bring luck as it were.
Then he needed a home,
So he could make her his Queen,
And simply everything that her eyes
Have surely, ever seen.
He definitely required plenty of cash,
To be her true King.
But she surely wants more,
Than any royalty could bring.
The Woman, also needs a club,
To keep him always right,
But yet her tongue is that club,
Always bashing that's right.
You will soon need a spade,
To surely bury me one day,
And another Jack will step in,
And a new hand he will play.
So let's cut out the hassle,
Right here and now, I will have you
This night surely trying out
Something totally brand new
I will have you in our romantic,
And surely pleasing bed,
And tonight I will certainly,
Be spinning your sweet head.
You will surely tonight,
Be softly calling out my name,
And you'll be gasping for breath,
Time and time again.
But then I will hold surely,
The pillow, that little longer,
For you do see my love,
That I am surely the stronger.
I often wonder why they fight,
And rage war over Gas,
For a Wife's hot air,
Has an endless driving mass.
To surely power the whole world,
Forever, right through,
It's true and sincere, and yes ladies,
This could indeed, well be you
